Why Study in China?

China is one of the most popular destinations for post-secondary studies. Indeed, it is a country very popular among Moroccan students for university studies and language studies abroad. Chinese universities offer a system of education similar to that of Anglo-Saxon countries. One of the great advantages of studying in China is that the largest universities have set up faculties specifically for foreign students to learn the language there.

Chinese education system:

Chinese higher education is divided into three levels: undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate. Undergraduate programs generally last four years, while graduate programs last two to three years. Postgraduate programs, such as doctoral programs, typically last three to four years. China has more than 1,000 higher education institutions, including 316 national and provincial universities. In 1996, the Central Government and the Ministry of Education carried out a major reform with the aim of reorganizing the universities. These have various statutes: some are under the direct authority of the State Education Commission, others depend on different ministries or commissions, others still fall under the jurisdiction of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities; and some are private universities. The courses they offer range from undergraduate (1st cycle) to graduate (2nd and 3rd cycle) studies, but there are also special programs in 2 or 3 years

High Education Language system in China:

In China, the languages of higher education for foreigners are mainly Chinese and English.Chinese is the official language of China and is therefore widely used in higher education for local and foreign students. In addition, many higher education institutions in China also offer teaching programs in English for foreign students, especially in the fields of technology, business and science. Chinese universities that offer programs in English for foreign students include Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It is important to note that language requirements for admission vary by institution and program of study in China.

Scholarships:

The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is the State Commission for Education of China (SEDC). He is in charge of applications for scholarships granted by the Chinese government to foreigners. There are different types of scholarships depending on the university level. You should also know that there are HSK scholarships available to students who have obtained an excellent score on the HSK Chinese language test.

The cost of living in China:

It can vary greatly depending on the city, lifestyle, and spending habits. Generally, living in bigger cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou can be more expensive than smaller cities.
Here are some approximate monthly expenses for basic necessities in China:

Accomodation (one-Bed apartment in the city center)Between 300 and 400 euros
Sport and other activities50 euros
Food40 to 55 per week
Miscillaneous expenses (utilities, internet, entertainement)25 to 30 per month
